Spice of Lfe marks a new direction for Vince. His melodic flowing piano style is still here, but it's augmented by a contemporary rhythm section and features sax and trumpet on select tracks.
This is an album of contemporary jazz, Vince Madison style. It's in response to many requests for "something upbeat". As an artist, Vince felt a need to develop in a new direction as well. What you hear here is the marriage of those two desires.
